If this is Wednesday, this must be Canada

John:

If today is Wednesday, this must be Canada.  But strangely, it looks a lot like Show Low.

As you may know, we are planning a bucket list trip to the Yukon and Alaska.  The plan was to leave last Friday after Marsha got her tooth implant and I got my crown put in on Thursday.  That didn't quite work out.  I was in considerable pain and couldn't eat.  But our dentist is closed on Friday.  It got worse on Saturday until I managed to fish out a tiny bit of white material that had been down under my gum.  Sunday I was still having problems, so I decided I needed to wait until Monday when I could revisit the dentist and have him fix whatever was wrong

What he found was that I need a whole new crown.  He's rushing it at the lab and we may be able to get out of here on Thursday.  But then we slipped past the time window for an RV dealer in Kaysville, Utah to put the new awning on the motorhome as we pass through,  So now we have to be in Kaysville to have it put on next Tuesday.  We plan to get out of here as soon as we can and spend the weekend with relatives in Utah.

We are planning to copy our friend Jim Slade and do a blog as we travel to the Yukon and Alaska.  I'm trying to figure out how to do that using Google.  So this is a test blog.  I'm only sending it to friends, so I'm hoping I can set up a distribution list here before we depart.  If you receive this and would prefer not to be bothered, let me know and I will remove your email address from distribution.  If you didn't get this, well, you won't need to do anything to get off the hook.

  1. Nice trip you have planned.. Love to hear the stories from it. Welcome to Canada-you are going to see some fine sights on your route. I used to guide for big game in the mountains just to the North of the B.C./Alta/Montana border. Spent time in N.W.T. for a year or so but never made it to Alaska. Got a feeling your travelog is going to convince me!! Thanks John And Marsha-appreciate you including me in your list. Love to romp along with Jim and John!!
